What Makes Him Different.

Immigration lawyer, Jason Rawlins is of counsel with Carter DeYoung, Attorneys at Law in Hyannis, Massachusetts on Cape Cod. He also has a law practice in Bridgewater and he is Associate Town Counsel to the City of Bridgewater.

Attorney Rawlins specializes in immigration and naturalization by choice and circumstance. Jason assisted his brother-in-law to obtain his spousal visa so he could move from Canada to the U.S. before he married his sister. “When most law deals with negative circumstances, immigration can be very positive and it’s immensely rewarding personally and professionally to bring families together”, says Jason.

Best Advice on Immigration

Attorney Rawlins tells clients, “it’s very important for people to get information while they are here on a legal basis.”

Because immigration is such a complex process and a controversial topic, immigration is viewed as being just about ‘getting into the United States’, however his practice deals more with clients that already reside as citizens but are trying to get their loved one(s) to join them.

Proud & Grateful
“Attorney Rawlins helped me when I had issues with my visa and then took me through the difficult process to become a legal American citizen. Now he’s helping my wife and son do the same. I’m proud and grateful to him.” ~ Armand A.

Spousal, familial, student and employer-sponsored visas are the typical types of visas for those applying for immigration. Yet there are several other types of visas ranging from artistic talent and professional sports visas to visas for children who have been abused, abandoned or neglected in their home country.

The most common are spousal and familial visas. Spousal visas are necessary when one person is here trying to get their spouse to join them. Family visas are either the parents are residing in the United States and want their children here or, where the children have immigrated into the U.S. trying to bring their parents here.  Either way, because immigration is complex, the laws change often and it’s a topic that’s continually being scrutinized, it’s wise to consult an experienced immigration lawyer.
